soccer mom

Friday and Saturday I sat outside watching soccer. Four soccer games in two days. It was lovely. Really. I love soccer. I wish I had played soccer. What I love about it is how short it is. Football? NO. Baseball? NO. Swimming? NO. Well, maybe if it's outside. Golf? HELL NO. Soccer? YES, YES, YES. Basketball? YES,YES,YES. Give me fast-moving sports anyday. 30 minute halves, 10 minute halftime. Beautiful skies, warm sun, my comfy chair, other 4 kids back at home with the man, one night in a hotel, $13.00 movie on hotel tv., sleeping in, hot bath, eating out, a fun car ride with teenager. YES! I love soccer. Especially overnight tournaments. Can't wait till next season!
